Kevin Camilleri is an award-winning composer, accomplished drummer, and published author whose passion for music has resonated across stages, classrooms, and international platforms. A graduate of McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Music degree specializing in Composition and Percussion Study, Kevin has devoted his career to the creation, performance, and music education writing.

As a composer, Kevin’s works have been recognized both nationally and internationally, including the celebrated composition The Song My Paddle Sings, which earned an award through the SOCAN Foundation and is currently featured in an app for Algonquin Park. His original music has reached audiences across Europe and North America through media placements and licensing opportunities.

An expert in percussion and drumming, Kevin has performed extensively with orchestras, pit bands, and touring musical theatre productions throughout Ontario and abroad, including a two month concert tour of Italy. His versatility behind the drum kit and percussion setup has made him a sought-after musician for live performances, studio recordings, and educational workshops.

Further expanding his impact on music education, Kevin authored BANG A GONG: Let’s Create a Song, a practical and engaging music resource used by over 18 school boards in Ontario and listed on New York State’s preferred curriculum list. The book empowers teachers and students to unlock creativity through rhythm, songwriting, and percussion, reflecting Kevin’s deep commitment to making music accessible and inspiring for all learners.

Kevin remains active in his creative work, with a strong focus on composition. During his free time, he enjoys cottaging with his wife and kids in Muskoka, Ontario.
