I’m excited to share my passion for music compsition, performance and writing.
Music has always been a central part of my life. I began my drum studies early on, and it eventually led me to pursue an Honours Degree in Music Composition and Classical Percussion from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing in various settings—from theatre productions to collaborating with talented musicians. My focus has always been on rhythm and the impact of percussion in both performance and composition.
One of my proudest achievements is composing The Song My Paddle Sings, a piece that earned me a SOCAN Music Foundation award and was featured in an app for Algonquin Park. It’s been a rewarding experience to see how music can connect people to nature and tell meaningful stories.
In addition to composing, I’ve spent a lot of time teaching and performing. I’ve been fortunate to play pit percussion for several theatre productions across in the Niagara and Toronto area and to lead percussion workshops for students and musicians. My goal is always to help others discover their creative potential through rhythm.
Another highlight of my career is Bang A Gong, Let’s Create a Song, a percussion resource I created that’s been adopted by over 18 school boards in Ontario and is part of the preferred curriculum list for New York State. I’m excited to share that it is now available for purchase on Amazon.
Thank you for visiting my site! If you’re interested in drumming, music composition, or simply want to reach out, feel free to contact me. I’ll either be creating or spending time with my wife and two boys up in Muskoka, Ontario.
